OUR STORY

Cha! Cha! Cha! is an authentic Mexican taqueria born in the heart of Portland, Oregon, serving traditional recipes from South-Central Mexico using sustainable, locally sourced ingredients from the Pacific Northwest.

In 2001, we created Cha! Cha! Cha! in an ongoing journey to bring guests a genuine taqueria experience, one that exemplifies the traditional Mexican cooking values we grew up with ~ naturally rooted in whole foods, slow cooking, and bold flavors.

After 21 years, our family-owned and operated taquerias still focus on what is important to us and the community we serve. That’s why we partner with local farmers and purveyors who share our commitment to environmentally and socially sustainable practices to bring only the freshest, natural ingredients to our kitchens. We serve only 100% hormone, steroid, and antibiotic-free meat, MBA-Certified seafood, and non-GMO produce (even the tortillas). We make everything from scratch.

Our Work in the Community

When we opened the first Cha! Cha! Cha! in 2001, there were just a few Mexican taquerias in Portland. Over the last 21 years, we have watched our city grow, and we are grateful to have grown along with it, thanks to the endless support from loyal fans.

We know the importance a business plays in its community and are committed to bettering the well-being of the community we serve. We show appreciation by partnering with local nonprofits, particularly those dedicated to empowering youth.
